If you want to get around the school's internet blocking crap, try this out:
1. Click 'start' 2. Go to 'settings' 3. Click 'control panel' 4. Select 'Internet Options' 5. Click on the 'Connections' tab 6. Click the button labeled 'Lan Settings' 7. Click the checkbox under 'Proxy Settings' 8. Type in the address and port of the proxy 9. Make sure that 'bypass proxy for local addresses' is checked 10. Click OK 11. Click Apply (if you can), then click OK 12. You're done!
Once this is done, you can access practically anything you want to using Internet Explorer.
NOTE: Please do not use this to look up porn or other inappropriate sites, as we don't want the admin noticing what we're doing. If they find this out, they may block our current proxy and we'll have to find a new one. Even worse, they may restrict us from using the internet altogether. Moo. This would be bad.
As always, use this knowledge responsibly, please. Thank you.
